#LightsCameraHarm research project
Over the past several months we’ve been quietly building out a new initiative alongside Black and non-binary research firm, McKensie Mack Group to help us better understand how harm shows up in our community, on film/tv sets and places we might be blind to. #LightsCameraHarm is an in depth survey examining the film, television and entertainment industries approach to addressing harm and seeking repair for professionals that are often marginalized by their race, gender, sexuality, citizenship, nationality and/or disability.
It's no secret! The film/tv industry is harmful, toxic and rooted in the inequitable distribution of power. As OTV grows we believe in our possibility to repair these broken systems. Have you experienced harm while working on the set or behind the scenes? Let your voice be heard as we model a restorative justice framework for addressing harm in the film and TV industry. Be a part of the project by taking this anonymous survey. The future of storytelling depends on your bravery to face harm + seek repair.
