#SPOTLIGHT ON RACHEL GREENHOE

How did you come of age as an artist? How did you come to your current practice?

I learned read and write at age 13. After that long a build up I just never stopped.

What was the inspiration for your OTV project?

A conversation I had with Search Party creator Sarah Viole-Bliss. She asked me about the day to day lives of (invisibly) disabled millennials. It occurred to me that while my experience was certainly not universal it was also one I had never seen portrayed accurately. So I decided to make a show for all the people out there who feel like they have no control over their lives and medical reason for why that is.

What's next for you or your series?

The whole cast and crew really enjoyed making it. We are all hoping for a more complete second season so we can follow Maggie and Tara's adventures living at home. Maybe we can learn more about Tara's family. See if Maggie can hold down a job. Just generally devote more time to Liza and the couples there friends.
